With the help of some amazing people at Children’s Hospital: Denver and The University of Colorado (Dr. Peter Hulac, a neonatologist and the Senior Instructor to the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine along with Dr. Henry Galan, Nancy English and Wendy Larsen), a plan is starting to take shape for Aiden. The plan is that once Aiden is born, conditions permitting, we get to hold him first. Then he’s off for some blood work and to the NICU for his ECHO Cardiogram (it is a much clearer picture once he’s born than inside of Tracy). What that test will show is exactly when Aiden will need to have his first Open Heart Surgery (either day 1 through day 12). He will be transported next door from the Univ. of Colorado to the CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) at Children’s Hospital: Denver where the actual Norwood operation will take place. He’ll be put in the CICU after, where we’ll be able to stay with him and watch his condition as he get’s better, once he’s able, he’ll be put in the step down CPCU (a not-as-bad care unit), once that’s out of the way, God permitting, we get to take him home!!!!!
Of course we’re not sure if we’re looking at 3 surgeries or 50, or less, only time and god will tell. But, what an amazing team God has put together for our son. And i’m very thankful for all the prayers and support. Thank you sooooo much.

I love the theme you picked for his room…it’s the same one we picked for Andre’s. Pooh bear makes him smile all the time! What a joy! It’s great to read about all the plans for your precious LO’s arrival. You’re in great medical hands these days. Remember that God is always in control when things don’t sometimes go according to plan, there’s always a reason behind His works. Keep the Faith in Him. Tracy, enjoy every minute of your pregnancy, I truly believe our unborn babies feel everything we feel and think. I’m keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
