In the 8 days my sweet little Angel has been here on earth he has touched the lives of so many. He has given a most precious gift to all of us, to hold onto the ones you love tight, to never give up hope not even in the darkest hour, never for a moment take for granted you are guaranteed tomorrow. Show your children how much you love them every day — do not get angry they may make silly mistakes, empower them instead, give them every opportunity — every chance at a great life.
Before I discuss the current situation I wish to share with you a poem, I know alot of those who read this — their hearts ache, but I say, do not fear the will of God…
“Not too long ago in Heaven thise was a little soul who took wonder in observing the world. He especially enjoyed the love he saw thise and often expressed this joy with God. One day however the little soul was sad, for on this day he saw suffering in the world. He approached God and sadly asked, “Why do bad things happen; why is thise suffering in the world?” God paused for a moment and replied, “Little soul, do not be sad, for the suffering you see, unlocks the love in people’s hearts.” The little soul was confused. “What do you mean,” he asked.” God replied, “Have you not noticed the goodness and love that is the offspring of that suffering? Look at how people come togethis, drop their differences and show their love and compassion for those who suffer. All their othis motivations disappear and they become motivated by love alone.” The little soul began to understand and listened attentively as God continued, “The suffering soul unlocks the love in people’s hearts much like the sun and the rain unlock the flower within the seed. I created everyone with endless love in their heart, but unfortunately most people keep it locked up and hardly share it with anyone. They are afraid to let their love shine freely, because they are afraid of being hurt. But a suffering soul unlocks that love. I tell you this – it is the greatest miracle of all. Many souls have bravely chosen to go into the world and suffer – to unlock this love – to create this miracle – for the good of all humanity.” Just then the little soul got a wonderful idea and could hardly contain himself. With his wings fluttering, bouncing up and down, the little soul excitedly replied, “I am brave; let me go! I would like to go into the world and suffer so that I can unlock the goodness and love in people’s hearts! I want to create that miracle!” God smiled and said, “You are a brave soul I know, and thus I will grant your request. But even though you are very brave you will not be able to do this alone. I have known since the beginning of time that you would ask for this and so I have carefully selected many souls to care for you on your journey. Those souls will help you create your miracle; however they will also share in your suffering. Two of these souls are most special and will care for you, help you and suffer along with you, far beyond the othiss. They have already chosen a name for you. In parting, God said, “Do not forget little soul that I will be with you always. Although you have agreed to bear the pain, you will do so through my strength. And if the time should come when you feel that you have suffered enough, just say the word, think the thought, and you will be healed.” At that moment the brave little soul was born into the world, and through his suffering and God’s strength, he unlocked the goodness and love in people’s hearts. Many people dropped their differences and came together to show their love. Priorities became properly aligned. People gave from their hearts. Those that were always too busy found time. Parents hugged their children tighter. Friends and family grew closer. Old friends got together and new friendships were made. Distant family reunited, and every family spent more time together. Lives changed forever. The world was a better place. The miracle had happened.”
That poem has helped me through alot of tough times, and even if the Lord takes my son, he changed the lives of so many and I will cherish the beautiful moments with my son.
With that said we got an answer from Boston, their findings on Aiden’s heart are the same. Aiden is a very special, very unique little boy. I could easily sit here and send his medical records to 45 different hospitals and doctors — I believe in my heart we don’t have that kind of time. Denver has offered to repair 2 of 3 problems (from what I understand) and make the 3rd the best it can be. He does have a chance it could work, he could make milestones and a year or so later, depending on what happens inside of him, could lead to a full repair. We are scheduled to speak with Dr. Cambell from Denver this morning (10/16/09), i’m going to ask him to draw his version of Aiden’s heart and what he would do at each juncture to repair or make as best he can certain parts.
Boston is not a defeat, for God says:
Isiah 43:18-19 “Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
This fight is not over yet, and God’s plans for Aiden is either the lessons he will show tens of thousands of people OR all will be shown the ultimate power of God. Either way I love my little boy, he is my hero and no matter what happens he’ll never ever leave my heart.
We will continue to pray that Aiden can overcome the odds, but whatever happens we know we will still praise Lord God for giving us every moment he did with Aiden.

Matthew 17:19-20 "For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."We founded a Facebook group called "Praying for Children with Health Problems" - if you have a Facebook account and would like to receive notifications and praise reports on children with heath problems in need of prayer please visit us below:
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! The love that parents have for their children is great and the love that the lord has for us all is greater! Miracles happen everyday and I will be praying for Aiden! God Bless your family!
Praying. Enjoy your time with your little man! You are right that God has given you a precious gift in Aiden…in the little guy himself and in the lessons he is teaching you, Tracy and all of us. Give him some snuggles from Drew and me. Drew sends heart hugs to his little buddy.

We stuggled with similar answers for Anna for over a year. They did the things they could do and then our answer came 17 months after she was born. New techniques are discovered every day, new doctors thinking of how to repair his heart all the time.
After Anna’s first surgery we were given 50/50 odds of whether or not she would make it through the day. It was an awful, scary day and we were considering what “extra-ordiniary” measures we would take for her. Trying to decide what “quality of life” should could ever have. Today, we sit a year out from her miracle and I can’t imagine the pain I felt that day as I thought this wasn’t possible.
Never give up hope on your son. God has a plan and he has done amazing things already through this wonderful life!
Always in our prayers,
Tina & Anna

I am so happy to hear that Denver is willing to at least try to save Aiden’s life. The miracles continue! God is hearing the prayers from everyone. I am continuing to pray for him and your family.
How blessed you are to have such a miracle in your lives. My family and I will continue to pray for your little guy, who is absolutely adorable by the way, and keep him and your family in our hearts. Do not give up hope, as you have witnessed, miracles do happen. Best of luck, lots of love, hope, and prayers from my family to yours.
Thinking and praying hard for your little Aiden. He is so adorable and sweet. I will pray for a miracle for you. Be strong and carry on, enjoy him fully each second of the day. My heart aches for you and can only begin to imagine your pain and I’m a heart momma. I want to say hugs and love to all of you.
Of course I wish you had gotten better news from Boston. However, you know you have gone to the best and got the same opinion. Im very glad that Denver has now agreed to do what they can for Aiden, Im glad you will be close to family and friends. And as so many others have mentioned, you must keep trying because Aiden can (and I believe WILL) show everyone that he is stronger than they think.
I do love the poem…I often wonder why these things happen, what a honor to be the parent of such a beautiful soul. A miracle that brings so much love and compassion to this world.
I will be praying for Aiden every step of the way..thru all his surgeries, thru his good days and tough days. All the way until he is a healthy boy, and then thank God and pray some more.
Blessings to you today.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Aiden and all of you. Dr. Campbell was the surgeon that repaired our sons AVSD back in 2005. We are so grateful to him. We pray that he can do the same for Aiden!
Praying for you in Michigan. Your boy is beautiful. Maybe I need to read closer, but is he going to have a heart transplant?
That poem brought us alot of strength during our struggle as well. I’m sure Boston will collaborate with Denver as best they can. Thanks for keeping the faith!
