Levi, I know it’s hard. Paul and I had to take 4 months off work. Painful. We were expecting to come home with a about $500,000 in medical bills from Eve’s two surgeries. But some creative work with our insurance company ended up putting as fully covered after meeting our $2500.00 deductible. Even if it hadn’t been that way, Children’s Boston (and alot of hospitals) will work with you to cover out of network fees. There are safety mechanisms. Sounds like your insurance is good, so you’ll be fine with a little lift. My husband’s company used its frequent flier miles to get us our plane tickets to Boston – which was a lifesaver since we only had a week’s notice and tickets were like $1,000 each (although most airlines have a special fare available for these things). One of you would probably be able to ride in the medical transport too. Anyway, if you end up in Boston, Isabelle (who posts here and on babycenter) and I can get you all the info on the Devon Nicole House there – for heart families. It will make your life financially bearable while you’re there. Sent you an email from our cardiologist too – who had a couple other recommendations of physicians on the East coast who specialize in Aiden’s condition. Glad to hear you are getting to hold Aiden alot today!

We have a Cardiologist appt with Tristyn tomorrow and we are hoping to get the news that the first surgery was successful so that we only have the one more… for now! Been where you are and we are here for you! Praying and getting others on the prayer train as well!
