Aiden will require a prostaglandin infusion following delivery for pulmonary blood flow. Depending on the results of Aiden’s scans posts birth:
Aiden will require a three staged single ventricle surgical palliation (this means Aiden can’t be fixed, they can only make it as best as possible until more progress is made in this field). The first stage will likely be within the first week of life, a Blalock – Taussig shunt for adequate pulmonary blood flow. The second pallative surgery would be a Glenn procedure around 4-6 months of life, which involves anastomosis of the superior vena cava to the pumonary artery. The final stage of the palliative repair is the Fontan procedure (2 yrs old), which involves anastomosis of the inferior vena cava to the pulmonary artery, with the final result of single ventricle systemic circulation and passive pulmonary circulation.

Hello little Aiden,
You don’t know me, but I have been following your your mommy’s stories about you. For such an tiny little guy who has yet to even see the colors of this beautiful world, you have already touched so very many hearts. Because of your strong will and parents’ love, I know you will fulfill every hope and desire they have mapped out for you. Stay strong, keep fighting the odds, and know you are in the hearts and on the minds of many, many people. We love you and are praying for your successful entry and stay into this world.
Best wishes and kudos for yur strength, Alana M.
Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child Aiden, and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

I know that the news you were given is so hard to grasp right now but keep faith, hope, and love in your hearts, in each other, and in the Dr’s wisdom to do the best that they can to understand and treat baby Aiden and to make him a healthy baby boy. We all know though that the greatest Dr ever, GOD, can touch Aiden and a miracle will happen. Aiden is still developing and everything can still develop the way it’s supposed to be. I love you!!!
Aiden
You are a very special baby boy because you have your mommy, daddy, grammie Winnie, pappy Steve, & the rest of your loved ones waiting to see you, hold you and love you more than anything. You are going to be a healthy baby and grow up to be a wonderful person. Fight and grow strong and show everybody that there was nothing to worry about because there is nothing medically wrong with you. I can’t wait to teach you, along side of your daddy & mommy, how to have a fun life as a child with playing ball or building stuff or just getting dirty somehow and then teach you what it takes to be a man. I will see you real soon buddy. I love you!!!
Love PAPPY STEVE
To my precious son Levi Matthew, my baby girl daughter in law Tracy, and to my grand baby Aiden Matthew, I am with you all in prayer, heart, and spirit each and every day. It’s so hard that you all are so far away from me. Baby Aiden I know you daddy and mommy very well. You are so loved. They have waited a very long time and now you are their gift. I don’t understand all the things that the doctors say, but I will tell you now baby Aiden, your Grammie Winnie lifts you up to The Lord each and every day to grow and be in your mommy for as long as it takes. I can’t wait to be there for you like I do for you daddy and mommy. I also pray to The Lord to be with your mom and dad. I am very proud of them and you. I can’t wait for the day to hold you, kiss you, and tell you how much I love you. Lord, be with my son, daughter in law and my grand baby Aiden Matthew. Thank You Lord! XOXXXOOOXXXOO always and forever.
Levy and Tracy, I’ve been following your messages on Baby Center Heart Group, and thought I would pop by and let you know that you’re in my prayers. Even though Andre’s diagnosis wasn’t the same as Aiden Matthew, we have lived this journey of ups and downs, sometimes more downs than up. Our Faith in God got us through this because Andre was His child, and we had to trust Him that He had the perfect plan for Andre’s life. Andre underwent his Glenn procedure at 3 months, which is NOT the recommended age for such procedure but we didn’t have time to wait. He made it. I pray that you both receive the same strengths that we continually receive from our God. We couldn’t imagine our lives without His presence. He is a great God.
Levi, Tracy, and baby Aiden
